Paradoxically, in a world that's more connected than ever, many of us feel less connected to the people, places, and traditions that truly make each region unique.
How many times have you driven past a small farmhouse without realizing they sell incredible handmade cheese? Or missed a family workshop creating beautiful ceramics, local honey, or traditional cured meats just a few minutes away?
LocalMaker was born to make those hidden places easier to find.
We believe every small producer, artisan, and family business deserves to be discovered. By bringing them together on one map, we hope to make it easier for people to buy local, support sustainable communities, and experience the true character of every place they visit.
Discover hidden local gems. Support the people behind them. Help keep local traditions alive.
How it works
The public journey stays simple: find a place, confirm the basics, then open directions when you are ready to travel.
Browse nearby producers on the public map and start with a practical view of what is close enough to visit.
Use radius, category, and sale type filters to narrow the map to the places that fit your trip.
Open a listing profile to check products, hours, indicative prices, arrival coordinates, and access notes before you go.
Trust and availability
Availability tells you what a visit may look like today. Verification explains how much supporting evidence sits behind a published listing. They stay separate on purpose.
The listing has Producer Verified ownership proof and at least 15 community verifies.
The listing has either Producer Verified proof or Community Verified support, but not both yet.
The listing is public, but it has not yet reached producer or community verification.
New listings start Unverified, even after moderation approval. Verifies are separate from the listing review queue.
Any registered user can tap Verify on a listing. At 15 verifies, the listing becomes Community Verified.
A producer submits ownership proof and photos. Once an admin approves it, the listing becomes Producer Verified.
A listing with both Producer Verified and Community Verified signals uses the green Verified pin.
